Easy Ways to Prevent Genital Herpes

Category: ValtrexFind RX Pills @ 9:55 pm

Sores. Embarrassment. A dormant virus that awakens due to stress and excess sunlight. How do you prevent genital herpes? Well, the easy answer is to never have sex. That’s right, take a vow of celibacy and never have sexual relations with anyone. While that idea may appeal to some, for the rest of us it is simply not an option. So, barring celibacy, how do we avoid contracting genital herpes?

Have a Chat:

Talk to your potential partner. Yes! Talk to him about STDs and getting tested before that fate-filled evening when things are too far along to stop. At that point it is too late. Think of it this way: is it easier to have a conversation about getting tested for something like genital herpes, or is it easier to talk him after you find out he’s given it to you out of sheer lack of knowledge? Better yet, ask yourself what is more important—a moment of fun–or a lifetime without recurring painful and embarrassing sores?

Don’t Do It:

If you think you have symptoms of genital herpes or any other sexually transmitted disease, don’t have sex with him! Don’t talk yourself into it and don’t wish the obvious away. Go get tested and get treatment before engaging in something as harmful as sex can be. On the flipside, if he is the one with the symptom, then draw a hard line until he goes and gets tested. Even if the tests are negative, you have still lowered the risks considerably. Along these lines, avoid multiple partners, because that will just double or triple your chances of getting genital herpes or something worse.

Do Do It:

Frangers, Dingers, Socks, Wraps, Stretchy Snakeskin or whatever euphemism you use to describe a condom, find ones that you like and use them every single time you have sex. No, they are not foolproof, but they do greatly reduce the chances of contracting a sexually transmitted disease like genital herpes. Ladies, if he won’t wear one, they do make a female variety, or you can simply say no until he warms up to the idea that putting a hat on jimmy is really not such a bad plan.

To summarize, then, if you are not planning to be celibate, then get tested and avoid anyone who is not tested. Ask the hard questions and be willing to answer them yourself. Then, break out the condoms and use them every time, and when you get bored try pink, purple or glow-in-the-dark. Whatever you do, though, do not fool around with the possibility of getting a sexually transmitted disease like genital herpes, because there is absolutely no cure only a lifetime of painful recurring sores at the end of that journey.

Some Information About Genital Herpes Protection

Category: ValtrexFind RX Pills @ 7:53 pm

Many people are surprised to learn that once you contract genital herpes, this virus is actually alive in your body for the rest of your life. While some people may never or rarely be bothered by outbreaks of the sores that a symptoms of genital herpes, others have outbreaks much more frequently, such as six times per year and even more. It is therefore absolutely important that you understand everything there is about genital herpes protection. If you have this condition yourself, keep in mind that you can also spread it to a partner even when you’re not experiencing outbreaks. They too deserve all the genital herpes protection that can be offered to them.

It’s interesting that over the years the phrase “safe sex” has been replaced with the term “safer sex.” This is because there is no such thing as sexual activity that is completely safe, and this is imperative to understand when talking about genital herpes protection. Even if you engage in sexual activity that does not necessarily include intercourse, you still need to be concerned with protection. Many have outbreaks of herpes on not just their genitals but also their thighs and their mouth, depending on their sexual practices.

Practicing safer sex is an important part of genital herpes protection. Use a condom each and every time you engage in sexual activity. Be aware that oral sex can have you contract this disease, and this is true for both men and women. If you have genital herpes, take your medication as prescribed but remember that medications do not replace safer sex practices.

Facing an Herpes Infection

Category: ValtrexFind RX Pills @ 4:55 pm

It’s totally normal to feel guilty or ashamed when you first hear that you have herpes. You may first think that your sexual life is over; you may also go into a big depressive stage on your life, feeling angry and frustrated, but you must know that stress will only increase physical manifestations of the virus, such as fever, aches and pains, swollen lymph nodes, as well as specific genital symptoms. That’s why the first step to deal with Herpes is to accept that you have the virus, it all depends on the way you are going to stand through this situation; improving understanding of what Herpes is and how to treat it will make your life with the virus easier. Keep in mind that you are not alone there are millions of people with a herpes infection out there, approximately more than 50 million people in the US alone, are affected by HSV.

There are 2 types of herpes infections, (HSVI) and (HSVII). HSVI is more related to oral infections and HSVII to genital infections, some people don’t even know they have the virus; this is because sometimes they don’t show any kind of symptoms, and it all depends on your metabolism. Most people infected with herpes experience a decrease on sexual interest, this because of the fear of spreading the virus to a sexual partner. But you must know that there is the possibility to have a normal sexual life like you used to have before being diagnosed, just act responsible before having sex, and talk rationally with your partner.

Even with antiviral treatment it is possible to spread the virus to other people, that’s why the most important think you have to take in consideration is to not have sex when you are having an outbreak, besides that you must remember to use a condom, the use of preservatives will decrease the possibility to spread the virus (Condoms are not 100% guaranteed to prevent the infection). The problem with herpes is that it can be transmitted with just skin contact on infected areas (HSV-2 can infect many areas in the body, not just the genitals; lesions can appear on the thighs and buttocks).

People with herpes must take precautions and create a safer sex life. You must talk with your partner about this, don’t wait until after having sex or until you are just about to have sex, this will make you and your partner act responsible and rationally facing this situation. Be prepared for rejection, people could look a way out of a relationship once they find out of your herpes infection, you have to know when is the best time to bring the news and how physically intimate you want to get before telling. You can also limit your self to date only people with herpes just to avoid the “Talk” using one of those dating services on the internet.

For now the best recommendation is to avoid felling bad, this will stress you and increase physical manifestation of the virus, having herpes is not the end of the world there are a lot of things more important than sex in live, remember you can still have a normal sexual live, be creative and look for new ways to express your self sexually this could actually improve your sexual live. Act responsible and don’t be afraid to talk with those who care about you, do not hesitate to talk with your doctor when you feel that something is not safe. Increase your knowledge of the virus this will make your life easier.

Genital Herpes Vs. Oral Herpes: What?s What of Each

Category: ValtrexFind RX Pills @ 3:55 pm

In today’s age, everyone has heard of herpes. There are two common types among ten variations of this disease:
· Genital herpes
· Oral herpes

While the seriousness of both is different in society, the outbreak and the fact that both are so common make them very close family.

Similarities

There are many similarities to both types.
· Both are contagious and can spread as easily as a common cold
· Both can be spread to any surface and can lay dormant on towels or sheets
· Both have the ability to migrate to parts of the body where they are not supposed to go
· The virus that causes both look identical under a microscope
· Both types infect mucuosal areas of the body such as the genitals and the mouth
· You can have either type and not know you have herpes
· Both genital herpes and oral herpes travel along the nerves so oral herpes can break out anywhere along the face while genital herpes can appear anywhere in the upper area of the legs
· There is no cure to completely rid yourself of either form of herpes

Differences

Here are the differences.
· Oral herpes, unlike genital herpes is a skin rash, or cold sore contracted by about 80% of adults from when they were children
· HSV-1 (oral herpes) likes to settle in a group of merve cells by the ears and when there is an outbreak the virus has traveled to the area around the mouth
· HSV-2 (genital herpes) likes to establish itself at the base of the spine and when this breaks out it has traveled to the genital region
· The social stigma of oral herpes is the opposite to genital herpes
· The treatments to each are different and must be treated differently

Testing

Although testing for both genital herpes and oral herpes is grouped under testing for STD’s, the testing for herpes is not automatic with STD tests. Always ask your doctor about the following when being treated for STD
· Know what you are being tested for
· Know what you are not being tested for
· Know what you can be tested for

Both genital herpes and oral herpes are very common and cause more embarrassment than pain. If there is one outbreak, there will be others. Once you have an outbreak of either form, consult your doctor about treatment options and be sure to inform those closest to you so it does not spread.

Treat Herpes Effectively – Take Acyclovir

Category: ValtrexFind RX Pills @ 1:57 pm

Genital herpes is an infection in the form of vesicular eruption caused by a virus; simplex-usually involving the mouth, lips, face (cold sores); zoster-infection of certain sensory nerves causing pain and/or blisters along the course of the affected nerve (shingles/zona); genitalis-lesions on the genitalia.

Around 50 million people in the world suffer from genital herpes and about 1 million people are infected each year. The best part is that many people even do not know that they suffer from the disease because they may not experience the symptoms.

If you have ever felt a burning, tingling or itchy feeling around your genital area, buttocks or thighs, or have noticed red open sores or bumps around the area, you may be one of the many people in the world who has herpes.

There are several medications for the treatment of genital herpes and acyclovir is one of the antiviral drugs developed for the treatment. These include acyclovir (zovarix), Val acyclovir (valtrex) and famciclovir (famir).

Acyclovir (brand name Zovirax) is the oldest of the antiviral medications. It has been available since 1982 in a topical form (ointment form) and sold since 1985 in pill form. Now acyclovir is available in a generic form.

It helps by reducing the replication of the viruses that needs to reproduce itself. Thereby it helps to keep the virus inactive. It is effectively used for the treatment of initial episodes and the management of recurring occurrences of genital herpes. Again, it helps in treating acute herpes zoster and chickenpox.

Studies show that these medications are quite safe and effective and rarely produce any side effects. However, certain side effects could be visible such as some allergic reactions, swelling in body parts, stomach pain or less production of urine in the body.

Genital Herpes Treatment Tips

Category: ValtrexFind RX Pills @ 11:05 am

Genital Herpes is one of them. The cause of genital herpes is a strain of herpes simplex virus (HSV), which enters your body through small breaks in your skin or mucous membranes. Genital herpes is a common condition affecting around 45 million people in the U.S. The herpes viruses responsible for genital herpes are transmitted through close personal contact such as contact. Genital HSV-2 infection is more common in women (approximately one out of four women) than in men (almost one out of five). This may be due to male-to-female transmissions being more likely than female-to-male transmission.

Genital herpes is different for each person. The signs and symptoms may recur for years. The symptoms of genital herpes vary among people. Most people infected with HSV have no symptoms or have only mild symptoms, but some develop severe symptoms. Genital itching, burning, or discomfort discharge in women ,swollen lymph nodes and a feeling of pressure in the abdomen. Other signs and symptoms during the primary episode may include a second crop of sores, and flu-like symptoms, including fever and swollen glands. However, most individuals with HSV-2 infection may never have sores, or they may have very mild signs that they do not even notice or that they mistake for insect bites or another skin condition.

Genital herpes frequently causes psychological distress in people who know they are infected. Genital herpes treatment includes oral prescription antiviral medications, including acyclovir (Zovirax), famciclovir (Famvir) and valacyclovir (Valtrex), to help heal the sores sooner and reduce the frequency of relapses. Condoms are commonly thought to protect against STDs. Condoms are useful in decreasing the spread of certain infections. Avoid excessive heat or sunlight, which makes the irritation more uncomfortable. Do not use perfumed or antibacterial soaps, feminine deodorant, or douches. Wear more comfortable, loose cotton clothing. For pain, you may take aspirin, acetaminophen (Tylenol), or ibuprofen (Advil). Cool cloths on the affected area may soothe the pain.

Genital herpes Treatment and Prevention Tips

1. Avoid excessive heat or sunlight, which makes the irritation more uncomfortable.

2. Do not use perfumed or antibacterial soaps, feminine deodorant, or douches.

3. Wear more comfortable, loose cotton clothing.

4. Suppressive therapy for symptomatic herpes can reduce transmission to partners.

5. Safe practices should be used.

Herpes Virus and Its Cure

Category: ValtrexFind RX Pills @ 9:54 am

Herpes is a groups of deep vesicles on red and inflamed bases. Includes cold sores and fever blisters. A small group of capsid-forming DNA viruses, sometimes divided into Type I (forming vesicles and blisters on the mouth, lips-generally above the waist) and Type II (usually sexually transmitted, with symptoms mostly below the waist). It is a inflammation of the skin or mucous membrane, caused by a virus, small blisters or ulcers are formed. You’ll find that very often when cats are suffering from respiratory problems, they might have ulcers on their inner eyelids, in their mouth on the palate or on the tongue.

Shingles, also called herpes zoster or zoster, is a painful skin rash caused by the varicella zoster virus (VZV). VZV is the same virus that causes chickenpox. After a person recovers from chickenpox, the virus stays in the body. Usually the virus does not cause any problems; however, the virus can reappear years later, causing shingles. Herpes zoster is not caused by the same virus that causes genital herpes, a sexually transmitted disease.

There are two kinds of infections – primary and recurrent . Although most people get infected when exposed to the virus, only 10 percent will actually develop sores. The sores of a primary infection appear two to twenty days after contact with an infected person and can last from seven to ten days. The sores from the primary infection heal completely and rarely leave a scar. However, the virus that caused the infection remains in the body. It moves to nerve cells where it remains in a resting state. Recurrent infections tend to be mild. They can be set off by a variety of factors including fever, sun exposure, a menstrual period, trauma (including surgery), or nothing at all.

The oldest antiviral medication for herpes is acyclovir. Acyclovir is available as a generic drug and is also sold under the brand name Zovirax®. It has been available since 1982 in a topical form (as an ointment) and sold since 1985 in pill form. Acyclovir has been shown to be safe in persons who have used it continuously (every day) for as long as 10 years.

About 50 percent to 80 percent of the adult population in the United States has oral herpes (commonly called cold sores or fever blisters), with as many as 90% having the virus by age 50.

Whether there are severe symptoms or not, virus will persist in the body. To avoid the immune system, HSV will retreat along the nerve pathways, finding safe sanctuary in a nerve root called a “ganglion.” In cases of genital herpes, HSV retreats to the sacral ganglion:hyperlink , located at the base of the spine. In “oral” or facial herpes (cold sores), HSV finds its way to the trigeminal ganglion:hyperlin k, at the top of the spine. In the ganglion, the virus remains inactive (“latent”) for an indefinite period of time.

Several medicines, acyclovir (Zovirax), valacyclovir (Valtrex), and famciclovir (Famvir), are available to treat herpes. These medications should be started as soon as possible after the rash appears and will help shorten how long the illness lasts and how severe the illness is. Pain medicine may also help with pain caused by herpes. Call your doctor as soon as possible to discuss treatment options.

If tingling, burning, itching, or tenderness occurs in an area of the body where there is a herpes infection, the area should be kept away from other people. With mouth herpes, one should avoid kissing, sharing cups, or lip balms. For persons with genital herpes, this means avoiding sexual relations, including oral/genital contact during the period of symptoms or active lesions. Condoms can help prevent transmission of genital herpes between sexual partners and should always be used. However, they will not protect against the virus that may be living on nearby genital skin that is not covered by the condom.

Herpes Treatment Options For Those Affected By Oral And Genital Herpes

Category: ValtrexFind RX Pills @ 4:02 am

The Herpes virus continues to spread throughout the world due to the fact that there is not yet a viable and effective vaccine. However, like other viruses, there are treatment options available including prescription medications, Herpes supplements, and topical solutions.

Thankfully, there may soon be a vaccine. However, it will only be effective for women whom have not yet contracted the disease. While this vaccine does have major limitations, it does have the potential to help protect millions of women.

In the meantime, those affected by Herpes need to be proactive in treating their disease. To begin, most health care professionals recommend using a prescription Herpes treatment such as:

• Acyclovir (Zovirax):
• Famcyclovir (Famvir)
• Valacyclovir (Valtrex)

However, these medications are often very expensive, including the generic options, and may produce painful side effects. These are just some of the reasons why more and more people are choosing to use safe, all-natural Herpes treatments such as Herpes supplements and topical solutions.

The first of these options, Herpes supplements, combat the Herpes virus from the inside out. For instance, the ingredients in most reputable Herpes supplements contain proven ingredients such as Lysine and Coenzyme Q10. These ingredients help suppress the disease so that there will be longer periods of time between outbreaks. Additionally, Herpes supplements also contain essential immune boosting properties which will further help delay outbreaks.

The second non-prescription option is to use a topical solution. Topical solutions contain ingredients which will help reduce a current outbreak. For example, if you are currently having an active outbreak, using a topical solution will help speed-up the healing process. However, using a topical solution will not help to delay future outbreaks from occurring.

Using a topical solution to treat Herpes is a short-term solution to a long-term problem.

If you have Herpes, including the less serious strain (HSV-1) of the disease which produces cold sores or the most serious strain (HSV-2) which produces genital Herpes, you need to educate yourself about your options. This includes researching the disease itself as well as learning about the benefits of using all-natural Herpes treatments to help suppress the virus.

In the end, if you choose not to use a prescription medication, I would recommend using a Herpes supplement. While this option will not provide as much immediate relief for a current outbreak, it will typically help delay future outbreaks.

Whichever method you choose, remember that you are not alone. Millions of others are affected by Herpes as it can be transmitted from any skin-to-skin contact, not just through sexual intercourse. That being said, you have nothing to be embarrassed about. Take control of your health and your disease. The healthier you are, the more your body will be able to suppress the Herpes virus.

Don’t be misled by false claims and outrageous statements such as those Herpes treatments which claim they can cure the disease: they can’t. In fact, any Herpes treatment that claims it can cure Herpes is in violation of Federal Law. Instead, trust those products that contain proven ingredients which have been shown to help delay future outbreaks from occurring.

Michelle Lee is an accomplished writer specializing in product reviews. She recommends using the Herpes supplement Viralprin to help suppress the Herpes virus. For more information on Viralprin, please visit their blog.

Basics About Genital Herpes And Newest Treatments

Category: ValtrexFind RX Pills @ 9:56 pm

Genital herpes is a sexually transmitted disease caused by the herpes simplex viruses (HSV) type 1 and type 2. Most genital herpes is caused by HSV type 2.

Most people have no or minimal symptoms from HSV-1 or HSV-2 infection. When symptoms do occur, they usually appear as one or more blisters on or around the genitals or rectum. The blisters break, leaving ulcers or tender sores that may take up to four weeks to heal. Typically, another outbreak can appear weeks or months later.

Although the infection can stay in the body forever, the number of outbreaks usually decreases over a period of years. You can pass genital herpes to someone else even when you experience no symptoms.

Current statistics from the American Social health Associations show that up to 60 million Americans have genital herpes with 1 million new diagnoses each year, representing up to 30% of the population being infected.

The painful clusters of blisters reappear, usually in the same area, with agonizing regularity – often monthly – and once the disease has been contracted, the patient is infected for life. Although the blisters often occur in the genital area, they may also be found on the thighs and buttocks. Genital herpes remains dormant in the lower spinal column, ready to migrate down the sensory nerves to the skin during lower immunity.

The symptoms of genital herpes vary from person to person. Some people have severe symptoms, such as many painful sores, while others have mild symptoms. An initial outbreak of genital herpes usually brings about symptoms within two weeks of having sexual contact with an infected person and can last from two to three weeks. The early symptoms can include:

An itching or burning feeling in the genital or anal area. Flu-like symptoms, including fever. Swollen glands. Pain in the legs, buttocks, or genital area. Vaginal discharge. A feeling of pressure in the area below the stomach.

Within a few days, sores (also called lesions) show up where the virus has entered the body, such as on the mouth, penis, or vagina. Sores can also show up on a woman’s cervix, which is the opening to the uterus or womb, or in the urinary passage in men. The sores are small red bumps that may turn into blisters or painful open sores. Over a period of days, the sores become crusted and then heal without scarring.

Other later symptoms of genital herpes may include:

Small red bumps on the penis, vagina, or wherever the infection began. These bumps may become blisters or painful open sores that can take up to four weeks to heal. Itching or burning in the genital area. Pain in the legs, buttocks, or genital area. Vaginal discharge. Feeling pressure or discomfort around your stomach. Fever. Headache. Muscle aches. Pain when urinating. Swollen glands in the genital area.

Some people may have no symptoms–but they can still spread herpes! Sometimes only very mild sores appear, but are mistaken for an insect bite or other skin problems. If you have HIV, a genital herpes infection can be worse.

If you have herpes, do not have any sexual activity with someone who does not have herpes when you have sores or other symptoms of herpes. Even if you don’t have symptoms, you can still pass the virus to others.

There are things you can do to protect yourself from getting genital herpes:

Don’t have sex. The best way to prevent any STD is to practice abstinence, or not having vaginal, oral, or anal sex. Be faithful. Have a sexual relationship with one partner who has been tested for herpes and is not infected is another way to reduce your chances of getting infected. Be faithful to each other, meaning that you only have sex with each other and no one else. Use condoms. Protect yourself with a latex condom every time you have vaginal, anal, or oral sex. Condoms should be used for any type of sex with every partner. For vaginal sex, use a latex male condom or a female polyurethane condom. For anal sex, use a latex male condom. For oral sex, use a dental dam. A dental dam is a rubbery material that can be placed over the anus or the vagina before sexual contact. Know that some methods of birth control, like birth control pills, shots, implants, or diaphragms, will not protect you from STDs. If you use one of these methods, be sure to also use a latex condom or dental dam (used for oral sex) correctly every time you have sex. Talk with your sex partner(s) about STDs and using latex condoms. It’s up to you to make sure you are protected. Remember, it’s your body! Talk frankly with your doctor or nurse and your sex partner(s) about any STDs you or your partner have or had. Try not to be embarrassed. Know the symptoms. Learn the common symptoms of genital herpes and other STDs. Seek medical help right away if you think you may have genital herpes or another STD.

There is no treatment that can cure genital herpes; the virus will always be in your body. Certain drugs such as acyclovir, valacyclovir, and famciclovir can shorten outbreaks and make them less severe, or stop them from happening. Depending on your needs, your doctor can give you drugs to take right after getting outbreak symptoms or drugs that you can take on a regular basis to try to stop outbreaks from happening. When used along with safe sex practices, Valacyclovir (brand name Valtrex ®) can also help prevent you from passing the infection to someone else. Talk to your doctor about which treatment plan is best for you.

During outbreaks, these steps can speed healing and prevent spreading of the infection to other sites of the body or to other people.

Keep the infected area clean and dry. Try not to touch the sores. Wash hands after contact. Avoid sexual contact from the time the symptoms are first noticed until the sores have healed.

The herpes virus remains dormant in the ganglia, seemingly inactive, however once provoked/aggravated, the virus becomes symptomatic. It travels down the ganglia and forms blisters on the surface of the skin causing an outbreak, often reoccurring in the same location. As the pathogenic factors are highly symptomatic and acute during an outbreak, a high intensity treatment should be used during this stage, whereas a gentler antiviral treatment should be used when the virus is dormant, to help act as suppressive therapy, which is why we developed HSVSuppressor-Rx.

HSVSuppressor-Rx is a prophylactic and can be applied daily. It is a milder form of OutBreakBalm-Rx and is for suppressive therapy to help stop the virus from traveling to the surface of the skin.

For acute phases during an outbreak, we need to hit it hard and fast with OutbreakBalm-Rx, utilizing the powerful forces of the monoterpenes in the treatment. These microparticles provide the most rapid absorption . They enter cell membranes with incredible swiftness and have a direct antiviral effect against the herpes virus. This results in a reduction of intensity of pain and a reversal of the condition.

Studies confirm the medicinal plant extracts in OutbreakBalm-Rx have the demonstrated ability to destroy the herpes virus, penetrating deep into the dermal layers providing a direct antiviral action against HSV particles residing in the DNA.

HSVSuppressor-Rx is a softer antiviral treatment designed for daily application/suppressive therapy. It stays in the skin and system longer, has slower evaporation. Its antiviral nature helps block receptor sites of the herpes virus and assists immune function.

These topical treatments can be beneficial for all cases of genital, oral, acute, chronic, or recurrent herpes infections. They also help to suppress excesses that take place in the urogenital tract or oral regions. Herpes And Powerful Organic Treatment On The Market

Category: ValtrexFind RX Pills @ 8:56 pm

Herpes is a virus that can be passed through sexual contact. You can get genital herpes by having sex with someone who has open sores and when someone has no sores. However, herpes is most contagious when a person has open sores. People with herpes should not have sexual activity when sores or other symptoms of herpes are present. HSV-1 can cause genital herpes, but it more commonly causes infections of the mouth and lips or “fever blisters.” Condoms can lower the chances of getting herpes. Along with condoms, Valtrex ®, a drug used to treat herpes, can help lower the chances of passing the virus during vaginal sex.

About 45 million Americans, age 12 and older have genital herpes. It’s estimated that up to one million people become infected each year. Genital Herpes (HSV-2) is more common in women than men.

Doctors can diagnose genital herpes by looking at visible sores if the outbreak is typical, and by taking a sample from the sore for testing in a lab. Herpes can be difficult to diagnose between outbreaks. Blood tests, which detect HSV-1 or HSV-2 antibodies, can help to detect herpes in people without symptoms or during the time between outbreaks.

Once you have the virus, it stays in your body and there is a chance that you will have outbreaks. Herpes symptoms can come and go, but the virus stays in the nerve cells of your body even after all signs of the infection have gone away. In most people, the virus becomes “active” from time to time, creating an outbreak. Some people have herpes virus outbreaks only once or twice. Other people have many outbreaks of herpes each year. Scientists don’t know what causes the virus to become active, but the number of outbreaks a person has tends to go down over a period of years. Some women say the virus comes back when they are sick, under stress, out in the sun, or during their period.

Current pharmacy treatments such as Acyclovir have a wide variety of side effects including a metal-like after taste, dry mouth, and constipation.

The undeniable and profound pharmacological effects of OutbreakBalm-Rx support its therapeutic use. The effectiveness of this treatment against herpes represents real hope.

We know that the extracts in OutbreakBalm-Rx have a direct action to eliminate viruses. A clinical study performed in 1999 with the extracts in OutbreakBalm-Rx and their components in vivo against the herpes virus type 2 showed the extracts effectively killed the life span of the herpes virus upon exposure.

Types Of Herpes And Newest Treatments

Category: ValtrexFind RX Pills @ 7:00 pm

Herpes is one of the common forms of viral diseases. If you want to defeat the herpes infection you must know everything about its background and symptoms.

The herpes simplex virus may be of two forms: Herpes Simplex Type 1 and Herpes Simplex Type 2. Both of them have similar symptoms: red skin, fever and discomfort. Herpes Simplex Type 1 may breed the Herpes Simplex Type 2 virus and vice versa.

Herpes Simplex Type 1 targets the oral area (mouth) both inside and outside. The most typical symptoms of oral herpes are cold scores or blisters and red spots on the lips, tongue and other areas of the mouth. All these visible symptoms of herpes may be accompanied by pain, headache, itching, tingling, burning sensations and fever. Oral herpes is a very annoying disease; it hinders the intake of food and drink as they cause skin irritation in the affected area. The disease’s duration and cure varies from person to person.

The Herpes Simplex Type 2 virus targets the genital area and is considered to be a sexually transmitted disease. Once you are infected with herpes, the virus remains in your body for a long time. The symptoms are the same: blisters on or around the genitals. The worst thing about this type of herpes is that genital herpes symptoms are not always visible and may be absent.

Both genital and oral herpes are contagious and any contact may bring about the spreading of the virus. Intimate contacts and sexual relationships are not encouraged at all. Once the virus enters your body, it remains there for a rather long period. Herpes may have a deceiving impression: the symptoms may disappear but the virus may stay and reactivate from time to time.

Some factors and circumstances can aggravate any disease including herpes. Stress, overworking and lack of sleep or rest can trigger the outbreak of cold scores.

Researchers at Duke University Medical Center have now figured out how the HSV1 manages to hide out. Apparently they lie dormant in the trigeminal nerve of the face until they are triggered by excessive sunlight, a fever or other stresses.

Well now that scientists are beginning to understand how the virus switches back and forth from dormant to active phase, and this could lead to a cure. When the virus gets stimulated it creates new molecular material (RNA) and replicates and then goes out on its so-called “new mission”-hence the cold sores. If scientists can create a drug that binds to the RNA and stimulates the replication you essentially activate the virus and then kill the virus by having the patient take acyclovir. You would then have a situation where a virus was eradicated for good.

Acyclovir (Zovirax), valacyclovir (Valtrex) and famciclovir (Famvir)–the anti-viral pills used to treat genital herpes–can also treat the cold sores associated with oral herpes. In addition, acyclovir is available in topical form, as is penciclovir (a related drug).

Penciclovir (Denavir) heals HSV-1 sores on average about half a day faster than without treatment, stops viral shedding and reduces the duration of pain. Ideally the patient should apply the cream within the first hour of symptoms although benefits have also been noted with later application. It is continued for 4 consecutive days and should be reapplied every 2 hours while awake.

Acyclovir cream (Zovirax) works best when applied early on (at the first sign of pain or tingling).

Docosanol cream (Abreva) is the only FDA-approved non-prescription ointment for oral herpes. It is applied five times a day, beginning at the first sign of tingling or pain.

Over-the-counter topical anesthetics may provide modest relief. They include Anbesol gel, Blistex lip ointment, Campho-phenique, Herpecin-L, Viractin, and Zilactin.

These ointments or creams help shorten healing time and duration of symptoms. However, none are truly effective in eliminating outbreaks. Drug trials to begin developing medicinal antiviral plant extracts are now in the works. Studies of these antiviral extracts demonstrate that many of these compounds exhibit significant anti-herpetic activity. Several actually inactivate HSV with great effectiveness. These antiviral extracts represent new effective treatment options for therapeutic use as virucidal agents for recurring herpes infections.

Keeping Positive Attitude About Herpes

Category: ValtrexFind RX Pills @ 6:01 pm

Herpes occurs in two forms. Type 1 is the virus that most commonly causes facial or oral herpes. Facial herpes is not considered an STD because it can be contracted through kissing, sharing eating utensils, towels, lip balm or touching a cold sore. Type 2 herpes is the virus commonly associated with the STD genital herpes. Genital herpes is only spread through sexual contact. Both facial and genital herpes are typically the same virus but they just occur in different areas of the body.

If you’ve just been diagnosed with herpes, you may be worrying that your life or at least your love life is over. In fact, it may even be possible to see some positive consequences of contracting herpes.

There are millions of people in the world with herpes. Each person has his/her own story about getting it and each has unique symptoms. No matter what your experiences with herpes have been there is someone else who has been through a similar situation. There are support groups all over the US and many resources online. There is a large community and a wealth of information about the disease at your fingertips. You will never be left in the dark.

Though herpes stays with you for life, it is not a life-threatening disease. Everyone gets sick at some point in his/her life. You should feel lucky that the virus you caught is relatively harmless.

Many people will still want to be with you regardless of the fact that you have herpes. There are plenty of us who have had successful relationships with people who don’t have herpes. You can find tips on how to tell your partner. If you’re not ready to deal with telling a potential partner about your virus, but would still like to date, there are dating websites specifically for those with herpes.

Even if you do decide to date someone who doesn’t have herpes and he or she rejects you upon finding out that you have it, it’s not the end of the world. With this added obstacle in your way, you will have to develop other ways of wooing your partner besides plain and simple sexual availability.

Use herpes as an excuse to be vigilant about having protected sex. The next time you feel the pressure or desire to have unprotected sex, keep in mind that you are putting your partner at risk for catching herpes. Conversely, you are also putting yourself at risk for getting any disease your partner has.

Take this opportunity to treat yourself better. If you go too many days without enough sleep you are pretty much asking for an outbreak. So having herpes is your excuse to go to bed at a reasonable hour or opt for a cab versus crashing on a friend’s couch. It has also forced you to improve your diet and make a concerted effort to exercise regularly.

As a result, having herpes isn’t all that bad. It can change your perspective on sex and health and force you to change many negative behaviors.

There are treatments available. Several prescription medicines are available for treating and/or preventing outbreaks, most commonly Valtrex and Acyclovir. The problem is that they have a wide variety of side effects including a metal-like after taste, dry mouth, and constipation and makes the virus that is present, more likely to evolve into a mutant form, that is very resistant to the current treatments. In addition, there are many alternative approaches to treating herpes, including traditional Chinese medicine, homeopathy, diet modification and more. There are many ailments in the world that are still relatively unknown by the medical community, and therefore have inadequate treatments. Though there’s no cure for herpes at least there are many ways to relieve the symptoms.

HSVCurative is a potent all natural antiviral agent highly effective against HSV1 and HSV2, it has a wide spectrum of antiviral activity against these viruses. The antiviral extracts in this treatment have the ability to inactivate and destroy HSV, which has been established in published clinical trials. It is to be applied directly to an outbreak.

HSVCurative is used specifically to treat HSV1 and HSV2 infections and acts as a curative agent against both these strains of herpes. It exhibits a pronounced anti-herpetic activity against HSV1 and HSV2 and actually kills these viruses upon exposure regardless of location on the body.

HSVCurative is formulated at maximum strength and has produced spectacular results in eliminating herpes outbreaks in almost all known cases. It is possibly the most powerful and effective topical herpes treatment on the market, providing total clearance of outbreaks time after time. Most Common Female Symptoms Of Herpes And Treating The Outbreaks

Category: ValtrexFind RX Pills @ 2:05 pm

When it comes to female symptoms herpes, outbreaks can sometimes be clearly obvious on the outside of the vagina or concealed within the vaginal wall.

For help identifying possible symptoms associated with this annoying disease together with basic information about the pathogen, continue reading.

About the disease

There are two types of this affliction. Simplex Type one often pertains to oral herpes, which are sometimes called cold sores. Simplex Type two appertains to genital herpes and is thought of as a sexually transmitted disease.

Herpes hasn’t got a cure – however the disease, its outbreaks, and level of contagiousness can frequently be controlled with drug therapies.

For female symptoms, outbreaks will generally last about 3 weeks, though will frequently shorten for subsequent outbreaks. It is important for women, especially those experiencing internal outbreaks, to not mistake a this condition for thrush or pelvic inflammatory disease.

In addition to sores on or around the vagina, ladies could also get them on their anus, bum, vulva, cervix and thighs.

Clear Signs of the disease

The clearest indicator of genital herpes is the presence of sores or blisters in or around the vagina. It might be one sore or multiple sores, but they’re sometimes red, inflamed and frequently filled with pus.
Getting pregnant with genital herpes can also be dangerous.

Of the people who experience an initial outbreak, roughly 80 p.c will be faced with subsequent outbreaks later in life. However, subsequent outbreaks are shorter and less dreadful.

Treating the disease

As discussed earlier, herpes isn’t curable, but it can be controlled. Drugs like Valtrex and Famvir help control outbreaks and the spread of the disease. It is important to remember though that even with drugs and when you are not experiencing female symptoms, it remains transmittable. So, look after your hubby.

Genital Herpes Treatment

Category: ValtrexFind RX Pills @ 12:53 pm

Genital herpes is a sexually transmitted disease or STD that affects the genitals of males and females with small bumps or lesions, much like genital herpes. The difference between the two is that genital herpes forms into small blisters that will burst and cause lesions and open sores that are more painful than genital warts. Genital herpes is spread through sexual contact, and caused by the HSV-2 virus in most cases, but can be caused by the HSV-1 virus or the virus that causes fever blisters. There is no cure for genital herpes, only treatments to help alleviate pain and outbreaks.

Acyclovir or Valacyclovir

Both of these drugs are in the class known as antiviral medications. These are known to help kill off the virus that causes genital herpes. Even though it kills the HSV virus, the virus will always be present in the body and therefore recurrent outbreaks are to be expected throughout the lifetime of the host. Valacyclovir is a generic name for Valtrex, while acyclovir is known as Zovirax. These medications can be used to control both HSV-1 and HSV-2 viruses for genital and oral herpes outbreaks. When taken daily, the medications are useful in helping to stave off outbreaks, and if taken during an outbreak it will lessen the time frame of the outbreak. For suppressing outbreaks, dosage will be determined by a physician but are normally given in 50 mg tablets for a twice a day regimen during the first week and then once a day afterwards. Acyclovir can be taken at 400 mg three times daily for a week, or for suppression it is taken at 400 mg twice a day. Valacyclovir is taken at 100 mg twice a day for 10 days for the first infection, or at 1000 mg daily for suppression. Side effects include headache, vomiting, dizziness and abdominal pain.

Famcyclovir

Famcyclovir is a drug used to suppress the recurrent HSV-1 and HSV-2 outbreaks by keeping the virus from spreading to other cells. It does not protect cells that have already become infected, but will keep other cells from getting infected. This is normally taken in doses of 125 three times a day for a week to rid the system of the replicated cells. Normally this is taken in doses of 1,000 mg twice daily if you catch the outbreak within 6 hours of the onset for the first day and then 25 mg daily for suppression of symptoms. Side effects include headache, nausea and diarrhea.

Tylenol, Acetaminophen and Aspirin

These drugs can each be used separately to help relieve the pain and fever that are associated with genital herpes outbreaks, but are not recommended for daily use without consulting a physician.

Zovirax Cream

Zovirax cream is commonly used when oral medications are not well tolerated. This is much less effective topically, and only has a small impact on the outbreak length and severity, but is still used. Side effects include swelling and itching of the site, burning and redness of the areas covered, and is not recommended for pregnant women.
